The purpose of the Order is to temporarily prohibit the use of a section of the A83 Trunk Road in Campbeltown to allow for essential carriageway and footway resurfacing works to be carried out.
Location of Restriction
The restriction will apply to the following section of the A83 Trunk Road:
- From its junction with Longrow Road to its junction with Alma Place
Period of Restriction
The restriction will be in force from 24:00 hours on 4th November 2024 to 24:00 hours on 22nd November 2024.
Alternative Route
During the period of restriction, traffic will be diverted via the following alternative route:
- A83 (unaffected section) – A77 – A716 – B843 – B8024 – A83 (unaffected section)
Exceptions
The restriction does not apply to:
- Emergency vehicles
- Vehicles used for the purpose of carrying out the works
- Vehicles used for the purposes of the local authority in connection with the works
Penalty
Any person who contravenes the restriction is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
