Tokyo, Japan, February 18, 2025 – The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) announced today the signing of a grant aid agreement with the Palestinian Authority to provide emergency recovery assistance to the people of Palestine.
The grant aid, amounting to 200 million yen (approximately US$1.6 million), will be used to procure and deliver essential equipment and materials to support the reconstruction of critical infrastructure and the provision of basic services in areas affected by recent conflicts and natural disasters.

The agreement was signed by JICA Chief Representative for Palestine, Mr. Takeshi Okubo, and Palestinian Minister of Finance, Mr. Shukri Bishara.
