FBI Announces Brian Dugan as Assistant Director of the Training Division

Washington, D.C. – The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) today announced the appointment of Brian Dugan as the Assistant Director of the Training Division, effective immediately.

Mr. Dugan has been with the FBI for over 25 years, serving in various leadership positions within the Training Division and beyond. Most recently, he served as the Deputy Assistant Director of the Training Division, where he oversaw the development and implementation of training programs for all FBI employees.

As Assistant Director, Mr. Dugan will lead the Training Division in its mission to provide world-class training to FBI personnel, ensuring their readiness to protect the nation and uphold the Constitution. He will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the development and delivery of training programs in all areas of FBI operations, including law enforcement, intelligence, cybersecurity, and leadership
  • Managing the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, and the regional training facilities across the country
  • Collaborating with law enforcement and intelligence partners to enhance training capabilities and sharing best practices

FBI Director Christopher Wray said, “Brian Dugan is an exceptional leader with a proven track record of success in the Training Division. His experience and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to enhance our training programs and ensure our employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to fulfill their critical mission.”

Mr. Dugan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland and a Master of Science degree in Management from the University of Virginia. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.

The FBI Training Division is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of training programs to all FBI employees, including new agents, special agents, intelligence analysts, and professional staff. The Division also provides training to law enforcement and intelligence partners worldwide.
