InnovateUkraine Opens Second Round of Investment for Clean Energy Projects

Kiev, Ukraine – February 5, 2025 – InnovateUkraine, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in Ukraine, today announced the opening of the second round of its investment program for clean energy projects.

The program, launched in 2024, provides funding and mentorship to early-stage startups and small businesses developing innovative solutions in the clean energy sector. The first round of the program, which closed in December 2024, saw over 50 applications and awarded funding to 10 promising projects.

“We are excited to continue our support for Ukraine’s clean energy sector through this second round of investment,” said Oleksandr Kosovan, CEO of InnovateUkraine. “There is a significant need for innovative clean energy solutions in Ukraine, and we believe that this program can help accelerate the development and adoption of these technologies.”

The program is open to Ukrainian startups and small businesses that are developing solutions in the following areas:

  • Renewable energy generation (e.g., solar, wind, geothermal)
  • Energy storage and efficiency
  • Energy management and optimization
  • Smart grids and microgrids
  • Clean transportation

Projects must be at an early stage of development and have a clear potential for commercial success. Selected projects will receive investment funding of up to $100,000, as well as mentorship and support from InnovateUkraine’s network of experts.

“We are particularly interested in projects that can help Ukraine reduce its reliance on fossil fuels and transition to a more sustainable energy future,” Kosovan added.

The deadline for applications is March 15, 2025. Interested parties are encouraged to visit the InnovateUkraine website for more information and to apply:
