Mehtab Syed Named Special Agent in Charge of the Salt Lake City Field Office
Salt Lake City, Utah – The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has named Mehtab Syed as the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the Salt Lake City Field Office. Syed will oversee all FBI operations in Utah.
Syed has served in the FBI for over 20 years, holding various leadership positions. He most recently served as the SAC of the Minneapolis Field Office. Prior to that, he was the SAC of the New York Field Office’s Counterterrorism Division.
Syed has extensive experience in counterterrorism, counterintelligence, and criminal investigations. He has led numerous high-profile investigations, including the arrests of individuals involved in the 2009 Fort Hood shooting and the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.
