Ottawa, ON – The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) is pleased to announce the return of its Filmmaker Assistance Program (FAP) on January 30, 2025. This competitive program provides financial assistance to independent Canadian filmmakers and production companies for the development and production of feature-length documentary films, animated feature films, and feature film adaptations.
The FAP offers two types of funding:
- Development grants of up to $20,000 to help filmmakers develop their project concepts and prepare production packages.
