January 22, 2025 – The Government of Canada is investing $1 million in two women-led organizations in southern Ontario to help them continue their important work in the community.

The funding will support the following organizations:

  • The Women’s Centre of Halton will receive $500,000 to provide essential services to women and children in the Halton region, including counseling, support groups, and housing assistance.

“Our government is committed to supporting women-led organizations that are making a difference in the lives of women and girls across Canada,” said the Honourable Marci Ien, Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth. “This funding will help these two organizations continue their vital work and create a more equitable and inclusive community for all.”
