These regulations mean that anyone who provides a prescribed service or activity to a protected adult must:
- Be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- Have a Disclosure Scotland Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme check.
- Undertake appropriate training.
- Have a code of conduct.
- Have a complaints procedure.
