A Basingstoke manufacturer has secured a £750,000 deal to power its expansion across the USA, Asia and the Middle East.
Powerstar, which designs and manufactures electrical generators, has signed a major contract with a global logistics provider.
The deal will see Powerstar supply its generators to power the provider’s warehouses and distribution centers in the three regions.
Powerstar’s generators are used to provide backup power in the event of a power outage, ensuring that the provider’s operations can continue uninterrupted.
The deal is a major boost for Powerstar, which has been based in Basingstoke for over 20 years. The company has seen strong growth in recent years, and now employs over 100 people.
The contract will help Powerstar to create new jobs and invest in new product development.
James Harrison, Managing Director of Powerstar, said:
