Notice is hereby given that the Welsh Ministers have made an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to temporarily prohibit the use of vehicles on a specified length of the A40 trunk road at Raglan, Monmouthshire.
The Order will come into force on 4th December 2024 and have a maximum duration of 18 months. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed and the road reopened by 18th December 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed at the site of the works and the signed diversion route will be via the A449, A466, A4042, A465, Usk Way and A4043.
The prohibition is necessary to enable improvement works to be carried out on the A40 trunk road.
The alternative route for traffic will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
Exceptions to the prohibition will apply to emergency service vehicles and vehicles used in connection with the improvement works.
