THUNDER BAY, ON – The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Housing and Diversity and Inclusion, will be in Thunder Bay on November 16, 2024, to make an important housing announcement.
The announcement will be made at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium at 10:00 AM. Minister Hajdu will be joined by Patty Hajdu, Member of Parliament for Thunder Bay-Superior North, and Thunder Bay Mayor Bill Mauro.
The Government of Canada is committed to investing in affordable housing and reducing homelessness across the country. This announcement is part of the government’s National Housing Strategy, a $72 billion dollar plan that will create more than 125,000 new affordable housing units and repair 300,000 existing units.
