Notice of Proposed Road Closure
The Scottish Ministers give notice that they propose to make an Order under section 14(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 in relation to the A83 trunk road in Campbeltown. The Order would:
- Prohibit the use of the A83 trunk road to all mechanically propelled vehicles, except for emergency vehicles, between its junctions with the B843 Campbeltown Road, Campbeltown and the B843 Tayinloan Road, Kilkerran, a distance of approximately 3.1 kilometres.
The Order would be in force for a period of 3 weeks from 08:00 on 18 November 2024 to 18:00 on 9 December 2024.
The Order is being made to facilitate the reconstruction of a highway structure which will necessitate the closure of the carriageway during the works.
An alternative route would be available via the A84, A83, B843 and B843.
The Scottish Ministers give notice that, no earlier than 7 days from the date of publication of this notice, they propose to make an Order under section 14(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 in relation to the A83 trunk road in Campbeltown.
Any person who wishes to object to or make representations regarding this Order may do so in writing to:
