Good evening everyone.
It is an honour to be here with you tonight to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress-Alberta Provincial Council.
For half a century, the UCC-APC has been a tireless advocate for the Ukrainian Canadian community in Alberta. You have worked to promote Ukrainian culture and heritage, to support newcomers, and to build bridges between Canada and Ukraine.
Your work has made a real difference in the lives of countless Ukrainian Canadians. You have helped to create a strong and vibrant Ukrainian Canadian community in Alberta, and you have helped to make Canada a more welcoming and inclusive country.
I want to take this opportunity to thank the UCC-APC for your dedication and service. Your work is greatly appreciated by the Ukrainian Canadian community, and by all Canadians.
As we celebrate this important milestone, we also look to the future. The world is facing many challenges, including the ongoing war in Ukraine. But I know that the UCC-APC will continue to be a strong voice for peace and justice.
You will continue to work to support the Ukrainian Canadian community, and you will continue to build bridges between Canada and Ukraine.
I am confident that the UCC-APC will continue to make a positive difference in the world for many years to come.
