November 11, 2024 – On Remembrance Day, we honour the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country in times of war, conflict and peace. Their courage and dedication are an inspiration to us all. Today, we remember their sacrifices and recommit ourselves to working together to build a more peaceful and just world.

The Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, the Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of National Defence, and the Honourable Marco Mendicino, Minister of Public Safety, today issued the following statement:
“Today, on Remembrance Day, we pause to remember the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country. We honour their courage, their dedication, and their unwavering commitment to peace and freedom.
“We are forever grateful for the sacrifices made by our veterans, both past and present. Their unwavering service has helped to shape our nation and secure the freedoms we enjoy today.
“As we gather with loved ones today, let us also take a moment to reflect on the importance of peace and reconciliation. Let us work together to create a world where all people can live in safety and dignity.
“Lest we forget.”
