
FBI Announces Robert K. Tripp as Assistant Director of the Human Resources Division
Washington, D.C. – February 18, 2025 – The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert K. Tripp as the new Assistant Director of the Human Resources Division (HRD). Mr. Tripp will oversee all aspects of HRD operations, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, training and development, and employee benefits.
Mr. Tripp brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role. He has spent the past 25 years serving in various HR leadership positions at the FBI. Most recently, he served as the Deputy Assistant Director of HRD, where he was responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance the FBI’s human capital management practices.
“We are thrilled to have Bob Tripp as our new Assistant Director for HR,” said FBI Director Christopher Wray. “Bob’s extensive knowledge of HR and his deep commitment to our workforce make him the ideal person to lead this vital division.”
Prior to joining the FBI, Mr. Tripp held several HR roles at Fortune 500 companies. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Management. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resources and Organizational Development from George Washington University.
Mr. Tripp is a recognized leader in the field of human resources. He has been active in numerous professional organizations, including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA-HR).
