February 18, 2025 – The Honourable David McGuinty, Minister of National Revenue and Minister responsible for the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), will visit the CBSA Commercial Air Cargo facility in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario, on Monday, February 20, 2025.

Minister McGuinty will tour the facility and meet with CBSA officers and staff. He will learn about the important work the CBSA does to protect Canada’s borders and facilitate legitimate trade by ensuring that commercial air cargo meets all requirements.

The CBSA Commercial Air Cargo facility in the GTA is one of the busiest in the country, processing over 1.5 million tonnes of cargo annually. The facility is responsible for inspecting and clearing air cargo for entry into Canada, as well as intercepting contraband and enforcing customs laws.

Minister McGuinty’s visit will provide an opportunity to highlight the CBSA’s role in supporting Canada’s economic prosperity and border security.
