JETRO Hosts “Laos Sample Trade Fair” in Vientiane

Vientiane, Laos – The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) today announced the successful hosting of the “Laos Sample Trade Fair” in the capital city of Vientiane. The event, which took place from February 16-18, brought together over 50 Japanese companies and more than 2,500 Laotian buyers and business owners.
The trade fair showcased a wide range of Japanese products and services, including food and beverages, machinery, electronics, and consumer goods. Japanese companies participated with the aim of exploring business opportunities and expanding their presence in the rapidly growing Laotian market.
During the event, JETRO also organized a series of business matching sessions, where Japanese and Laotian companies had the opportunity to meet and explore potential collaborations. The matchmaking sessions were designed to facilitate networking and knowledge-sharing between the two countries.

In addition to the trade fair, JETRO also held a seminar on business opportunities in Laos. The seminar covered topics such as market trends, investment incentives, and the legal and regulatory framework for doing business in Laos. The seminar was attended by over 100 Laotian businesspeople and government officials.
The Laos Sample Trade Fair was organized by JETRO in collaboration with the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI). The event is part of JETRO’s ongoing efforts to promote trade and investment between Japan and Laos.
