
Government of Canada invests over $2.3M in two Gatineau organizations
The Government of Canada is investing over $2.3 million in two Gatineau organizations to help create jobs, grow the economy, and support vulnerable populations.
The funding, announced today by the Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, and Member of Parliament for Compton-Stanstead, on behalf of the Honourable Pascale St-Onge, Minister of Sport and Minister responsible for the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec (CED), will support two projects that will benefit the Gatineau community.
$2 million to 24-7 Intégration travail Outaouais (24-7 ITO)
24-7 ITO is receiving $2 million to support the creation of a new specialized job integration center for people with disabilities and the implementation of an innovative approach to employment support. This new center will provide specialized services to help people with disabilities find and maintain meaningful employment.
$366,000 to Centre d’action bénévole de Gatineau (CABG)
CABG is receiving $366,000 to support the renovation and expansion of its facilities. This project will allow CABG to increase its capacity to provide essential services to vulnerable populations, including seniors, people with disabilities, and people living in poverty.
