Samuel De Champlain Bridge: Special Illumination to Celebrate Valentine’s Day
Montreal, February 14, 2025 – The Samuel De Champlain Bridge, one of Montreal’s most iconic landmarks, will be bathed in a special illumination tonight to celebrate Valentine’s Day. From 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the bridge will be adorned with vibrant colors and dynamic patterns, creating a romantic atmosphere for Montrealers and visitors alike.
This special illumination is a collaboration between the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI), the organization responsible for the operation and maintenance of the bridge, and Moment Factory, a world-renowned multimedia studio. The illumination will feature a variety of colors and patterns, including hearts, roses, and other symbols of love, all synchronized to music.
“We are delighted to once again partner with Moment Factory to create a special illumination for Valentine’s Day on the Samuel De Champlain Bridge,” said Sandra Martel, Vice President of Public Affairs at the JCCBI. “This bridge is a symbol of Montreal, and we are proud to use it to spread love and joy on this special day.”
“This illumination is a unique way to celebrate Valentine’s Day in Montreal,” added Jean-François Blanchet, Executive Vice President of Moment Factory. “We are excited to use our technology to create a magical experience for Montrealers and visitors alike.”
The special illumination of the Samuel De Champlain Bridge is free to attend, and the public is encouraged to come and enjoy the show. Visitors are reminded to dress warmly, as temperatures may be cold during the evening.
In addition to the special illumination, the JCCBI will be hosting a variety of other Valentine’s Day events on the bridge. These events will include a live performance by the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, a romantic light show, and a special Valentine’s Day menu at the bridge’s restaurant.
