Rohidin Mersyah is an Indonesian politician who serves as the Governor of South Sumatra since 2018. He is a member of the Golkar Party. Mersyah was born in Palembang, South Sumatra, on December 29, 1962. He graduated from the University of Sriwijaya with a degree in economics.
Mersyah began his political career as a member of the South Sumatra Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) in 1999. He served as a member of the DPRD for three terms, until 2013.
