Early life and career
Moukoko was born in Yaoundé, Cameroon, and moved to Germany with his family at the age of 10. He began his youth career with St. Pauli in 2014, before joining Borussia Dortmund in 2016.
Club career
Moukoko made his professional debut for Borussia Dortmund II, the club’s reserve team, in the Regionalliga West on 17 November 2019, at the age of 15 years and 226 days. He scored his first goal for the team on 21 November 2019, in a 5–0 win over Wuppertaler SV.

International career
Moukoko has represented Germany at various youth levels. He made his debut for the Germany U16 team in 2019, and has since represented the U17, U18, and U19 teams.
On 20 March 2021, Moukoko was called up to the Germany national team for the first time for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. He made his debut on 26 March 2021, in a 3–0 win over Iceland, becoming the youngest player ever to play for the Germany national team, at the age of 16 years and 125 days.
