Works awarded for the connection to the sewage network of the Caní Canine Protection Center
The Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Sustainability has awarded the works for the connection to the sewage network of the Caní Canine Protection Center to the company Construcciones Modernas SA, for a total amount of 119,265 euros and an execution period of four months.
The works, which will start in the coming weeks, consist of executing the connection between the wastewater network of the Caní Canine Protection Center and the general sewage network of the city of Andorra la Vella.
The connection will allow the discharges from the Center to be treated at the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant (EDAR), thus improving the environmental quality of the area.
The Minister of Environment, Agriculture and Sustainability, Silvia Calvó, highlighted the importance of this work to “improve the environmental quality of the area and guarantee the proper treatment of wastewater from the Caní Canine Protection Center”.
The Caní Canine Protection Center is a facility managed by the Government of Andorra that provides care and protection to dogs in need. The center has more than 100 dogs and is located in the town of Santa Coloma.
