Ottawa, ON – December 11, 2024 – The Government of Canada today announced funding of up to $15 million over three years to organizations working to advance progress on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The funding will support projects that contribute to the achievement of the SDGs in Canada, particularly in the areas of poverty reduction, climate action, gender equality, and inclusive economic growth.

“We are committed to working with our partners to build a more sustainable and inclusive future for all Canadians,” said the Honourable Harjit S. Sajjan, Minister of International Development and Minister responsible for the Pacific Economic Development Agency of Canada. “This funding will support organizations that are making a real difference in communities across the country.”

The funding will be provided through the Sustainable Development Goals Funding Program, which is administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD).
