Washington, D.C. – The US Department of Defense (DoD) today announced a new $988 million security assistance package for Ukraine, the largest single tranche of military aid since the Russian invasion began in February 2022.

In a statement, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said, “This assistance package demonstrates our unwavering commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Ukrainian government welcomed the announcement, with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressing his gratitude for the “continued and critical support of the United States.”
