Plano, Texas – December 2, 2024 – Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) today announced several executive changes, effective January 1, 2025.
Ted Ogawa to Retire as CEO, Succeeded by Mark Templin
Ted Ogawa, who has served as CEO of TMNA since 2021, will be retiring from the company. Mark Templin, currently Executive Vice President of Sales, will succeed Ogawa as CEO.
Ogawa has had a distinguished career with Toyota spanning over 40 years. He has held various leadership positions within the company, including President of Toyota Canada and Executive Vice President of TMNA. Under his leadership, TMNA has achieved strong sales and financial performance, expanded its manufacturing footprint in North America, and made significant investments in advanced technologies.

In addition to the CEO transition, TMNA announced the following executive changes:
- Jack Hollis will be promoted to Executive Vice President of Sales, succeeding Mark Templin. Hollis is currently Vice President of Sales for Toyota Division.
- Andrew Gilleland will be promoted to Executive Vice President of Manufacturing, succeeding Randy Pflughaupt. Gilleland is currently Vice President of Manufacturing for Toyota Division.
- Pflughaupt will become President of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada (TMMC).
- David Christ will be promoted to Group Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Chris Reynolds. Christ is currently Vice President of Finance and Corporate Strategy.
- Reynolds will become Group Vice President and Chief Legal Officer.
