Andorra la Vella, December 2, 2024 – The Andorran Ministry of Education (Ministeri d’Educació) has announced the launch of a new competition aimed at recognizing outstanding pedagogical innovations that foster reading habits among students. The competition, titled “Educació posa en marxa un concurs per reconèixer la innovació pedagògica pel foment de la lectura als centres escolars,” is open to all public and private schools in Andorra.
The competition seeks to encourage teachers and educators to develop and implement creative and effective teaching methods that promote reading comprehension, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of reading. Eligible projects may include initiatives that incorporate technology, collaborative learning strategies, project-based learning, differentiated instruction, or other innovative approaches.
According to the Minister of Education, Esther Vilarrubla, “Reading is a fundamental skill that empowers individuals with knowledge, creativity, and critical thinking abilities. The deadline for submitting entries is March 31, 2025. Winners will be announced at a special ceremony in May 2025.
