- The Honourable Justice L.F. Toth, a judge of the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan, is appointed a judge of the Court of Queen’s Bench for Saskatchewan in Saskatoon.
These appointments are effective immediately.
Biographies
Justice L.F. Toth was born and raised in Saskatoon. He received a Bachelor of Arts (with Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan in 2006 and the University of Saskatchewan College of Law in 2009, where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Saskatchewan Law Review. He also completed the Common Law Master’s Program at the University of Ottawa in 2010.
Following law school, Justice Toth articled at a boutique criminal defence firm in Saskatoon and then returned to the University of Saskatchewan College of Law as a Teaching Fellow. He was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2011 and practiced primarily in the areas of criminal law, civil litigation, and professional discipline. He also taught part-time at the University of Saskatchewan College of Law.
Justice Toth was appointed a Provincial Court Judge for Saskatchewan in July 2019. He has a keen interest in judicial education and has been involved in developing and delivering educational programs.
Justice Toth is fluent in English and Hungarian. He is married and has three children.
