The Mississauga Tax Break will provide a tax credit of up to $500 for residents of Mississauga who file their taxes. The credit will be available for the 2023 and 2024 tax years.

The Working Canadians Rebate will provide a one-time payment of up to $500 to eligible workers who earn less than $50,000 annually. The rebate will be issued in early 2025.

“Our government is committed to making life more affordable for Canadians,” said MP Valdez. “The Mississauga Tax Break and Working Canadians Rebate are two important measures that will help put money back into the pockets of hardworking families.”

Applications for the Working Canadians Rebate will open in early 2025. Eligible individuals can apply through the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) website or by calling the CRA at 1-800-959-8281.
