The Welsh Government has made an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Broad Street and High Street, Welshpool.

- Westbound – via B4386 Welshpool Road, A458 Smithfield Road, A483 Newtown Road, B4390 Glanhafren Road, Broad Street, High Street, and vice versa.
- Eastbound – via High Street, Broad Street, B4390 Glanhafren Road, A483 Newtown Road, A458 Smithfield Road, B4386 Welshpool Road, and vice versa.
The Order contains an exception for vehicles which are being used in connection with the works or for fire brigade, ambulance, police or military purposes.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times during the works.
The Welsh Government is satisfied that, in view of the urgency of the works, it is necessary to make this Order without advertising it as required by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
