NYSDOT Extends Public Comment Period for I-787 Corridor Report

ALBANY, N.Y. – The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) today announced that it has extended the public comment period for the Draft Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Report for the Reimagining the I-787 Corridor project.

The PEL Report provides a framework for the development of a comprehensive plan to transform the I-787 corridor in the Capital Region. The report examines the corridor’s current conditions, identifies future needs, and evaluates potential improvements to enhance mobility, safety, and economic development.

The public comment period was originally scheduled to end on November 21, 2024. However, NYSDOT has extended the deadline to December 15, 2024 to provide the public with additional time to review the report and provide feedback.
