Lopa Patel & Nigel Baker appointed to The National Archives Board

Culture Minister Lord Parkinson of Whitley Bay has appointed Lopa Patel and Nigel Baker to The National Archives Board.
Lopa Patel is the Head of Business Development at the British Library. She has extensive experience in the cultural sector, having held senior roles at the Southbank Centre, the Royal Opera House, and the Barbican Centre. Lopa is also a trustee of the National Theatre.
Nigel Baker is a former Director-General of the BBC. He has held senior roles at ITV and Channel 4, and is currently Chairman of the National Film and Television School. Nigel is also a trustee of the British Museum.
The National Archives Board is responsible for overseeing the work of The National Archives. The Board consists of 12 members, including the Chair, who are appointed by the Culture Secretary.
