VANCOUVER – Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jenni Gibbons will visit Vancouver on November 14 to share her experiences as an astronaut and to inspire the next generation of space explorers.
Gibbons will be speaking at the Vancouver Convention Centre at 10:00 AM. Her presentation, titled “My Journey to Space,” will cover her experiences as an astronaut, including her time on the International Space Station.
Gibbons is a medical doctor and a former Canadian Forces fighter pilot. She was selected as an astronaut in 2017 and became the first Canadian woman to walk in space in 2022.
In her presentation, Gibbons will talk about the challenges and rewards of being an astronaut, and she will share her hopes for the future of space exploration.
