Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) today announced its continued support for the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) as a Worldwide Paralympic Partner through 2025. As part of this partnership, TMF will contribute to the IPC’s Sport Development initiatives, which aim to increase participation in Para sports around the world.

“We are proud to extend our partnership with the IPC and support their efforts to make Para sports more accessible and inclusive,” said Akio Toyoda, President and CEO of Toyota Motor Corporation. “We believe that everyone has the potential to achieve their dreams, and we are committed to creating a society where all people can participate in sports and lead active and fulfilling lives.”

Through its support of the IPC’s Sport Development initiatives, TMF will help to:

  • Increase the number of Para athletes around the world
  • Improve the quality of coaching and training for Para athletes
  • Develop new Para sports and competitions
  • Promote the inclusion of Para athletes in mainstream sports

“We are grateful for Toyota’s continued support and commitment to the Paralympic Movement,” said Andrew Parsons, President of the IPC. “Their contributions will help us to achieve our goal of making Para sports more accessible and inclusive, and to empower Para athletes to reach their full potential.”

TMF has been a Worldwide Paralympic Partner since 2015, and has supported a variety of IPC initiatives, including the IPC Athlete Development Fund, the IPC Coaching Academy, and the IPC Sport Science and Research Centre. TMF has also provided vehicles to support the transportation of Para athletes and officials at the Paralympic Games.

In addition to its support for the IPC, TMF is also committed to supporting Para sports at the national and local levels. The company has established the Toyota Mobility Fund (TMF) to provide grants to organizations that are working to increase participation in Para sports. TMF has also partnered with the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) to support the development of Para sports in the United States.

“We believe that Para sports have the power to change lives,” said Chris Culkeen, Vice President of Global Corporate Communications for Toyota Motor North America. “We are committed to supporting the IPC and other organizations that are working to make Para sports more accessible and inclusive for all.”
