Recruitment of board members to the International Fund for Ireland
The Northern Ireland Office is seeking to appoint up to 5 board members to the International Fund for Ireland (IFI).
The IFI is an independent body established in 1986 with funding from the US and Irish governments and the European Union to support cross-border and cross-community projects in Northern Ireland and the border counties of Ireland.
The IFI has a diverse portfolio covering peace and reconciliation, economic and social development, arts and culture, and education and training. It is currently implementing a new 5-year strategy, which focuses on supporting projects that promote reconciliation, shared understanding, and economic and social progress.
The board is responsible for the overall governance of the IFI, including setting its strategic direction, approving its budget, and monitoring its performance. Board members are expected to contribute their expertise and experience to the IFI’s work, and to play a key role in promoting its mission.

- Business and finance
- Community development

Board members are expected to serve for a period of up to 3 years, and will be required to attend regular board meetings and to participate in other IFI activities.
